    • Thalassa Port
Cultures collide in no place more obviously than they do at Thalassa Port, where ships and people from around the world first enter onto Atlantis. The smell of salt is blended with the scent of thousands of exotic places, and the sound of the waves can scarcely be heard over the babble of dozens of tongues.

l The Trading Docks l The Fishing Docks l Thassa Nekta l
    • The Trading Docks
This is where many of the great commercial ships load and unload their wares, and by day is teeming with wealthy merchants and overworked laborers alike. At night the hustle and bustle begins to calm, but many traders hire mercenaries to watch their vessels at night and keep their goods safe from prowlers.
    • The Fishing Docks
North of the main trading docks, the fishing docks are smaller and mostly cater to local fishing vessels, owned mostly by individuals. A few big commercial fishing boats can also be found here, but they are much fewer and far between. Unlike its trading counterpart, the fishing docks are far from well watched at night, and are the sight of many clandestine deals and activities.
    • The Market
Merchants flock from all over the world to trade in Atlantis, and citizens and visitors alike reap the benefits. Traders calling their wares struggle to be heard over the shouts of enthusiastic bargainers haggling down prices. Cheap trinkets and precious valuables alike are sold here, as well as everything in between.

l The Bazaar l The Market Well l The Bridge of Atlantis l
    • The Bazaar
Even the most proficient of linguists would have trouble naming all the tongues spoken here—just as even the stingiest of buyers would have difficulty not purchasing something here. Many inhabitants of Atlantis go here daily, either to buy food and other necessities or simply to soak up the atmosphere of excitement and exoticism. Tempting perfumes and other delights might tempt you to examine the goods of far-off lands, but beware: these merchants are canny, and will do almost anything for a profit.
    • The Market Well
Not an actual well but more a pool fed by cisterns, the Well is located on the very outskirts of the bazaar, where it serves as a congregation point for people of all types who have come to draw water for washing, cooking, or even simply for a cool drink in the heat of the afternoon. Many people arrange to meet at this clearly-defined landmark, but at noon the area is so crowded it can be difficult to find anyone you’re looking for.
    • The Entertainment District
Easily the most identifiable neighborhood, the Entertainment District enjoys a vigorous reputation—especially as an area that truly comes alive at night. The rambunctious and sophisticated alike alternatively clash and blend here, making it one of the most diverse and exciting locations in Atlantis.

      l The Rose Hotel l The District Center l Taman's Children l
    • The Rose Hotel
Expensive as it is sophisticated, the Rose Hotel caters only to the most élite of travelers, offering luxurious suites for the well-endowed. Inside its pink- and orange-tinted clay walls, the clamor of the District is muffled, giving it a serene atmosphere. Visitors who are not staying at the Rose are also welcome to relax in its courtyard, but hired guards will have no qualms about throwing out anyone who causes a commotion.
    • The District Center
Swarming with people at all hours of the day and night, there is never a moment of quiet here in what many people consider to be the true heart of the Outer Rim. Shops selling every product imaginable crowd the narrow streets, those closing at night almost outnumbered by those that open only after dark. With the change from sun to moon also comes a change in the clientele. The night crowds are generally more dramatic, and the District is a haven for illicit activities and pursuits.
    • Taman’s Children
A somewhat dreary shop selling secondhand goods by day and serving as a performance area for unsuccessful artists by night, Taman’s Children might initially seem nothing more than an uninteresting detail among the hordes of attractions that make up the Entertainment District. Wait a moment, though. For the initiated, Taman’s Children actually serves as a meeting spot for the Council of the Sun, and would-be supporters must make their initial contact here.
If you wish to become a supporter of the Council of the Sun, post here and a current member will meet you. Remember, you must be a supporter before you can become a Councilor.
    • Thassa Nekta
Huddling in a small crescent around the Fishing Docks and backed by the Sun Canal, Thassa Nekta is the name given to this small collection of derelict houses owned by poor Etrani fishermen and undesirables. Stinking of fish and refuse, Thassa Nekta is generally avoided by all but the inhabitants, though it is often the subject of many cruel Atlantean jokes.
    • The Bridge of Atlantis
Spanning the Sun Canal, the Bridge of Atlantis is famous as an engineering feat: impossibly wide and sturdy, the Bridge leads to the legendary Sun Gate—the only entrance to the inner city from the Outer Rim. Constructed of white stone, the Bridge still gleams with the same splendor that it had upon creation. By day it is constantly bustling with visitors hoping to be admitted into the city (a rare occurrence, as only authorized personnel may move freely in and out) and people scurrying back and forth or lingering at the railing.
